ZMicro is seeking a Finished Product Packager to work in our Production Department. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are properly packaged, labeled, and prepared for distribution while adhering to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Inspecting Products: Examine finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Packaging: Package finished products according to predetermined methods, which may involve using machinery or hand-packing techniques.
• Labeling: Affix labels or stickers to packaged products with accurate information such as product name, ingredients, expiration date, and barcode.
• Quality Control: Monitor packaging materials for defects and ensure proper functioning of packaging equipment to maintain product integrity.
• Inventory Management: Keep track of packaging supplies and notify supervisors when inventory levels are low to avoid production delays.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workspace to comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
• Documentation: Complete packaging records, production reports, and other paperwork as required by company procedures or regulatory agencies.
• Safety Procedures: Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of themselves and their colleagues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, such as production supervisors, quality control inspectors, and warehouse staff, to coordinate packaging activities efficiently.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot packaging issues as they arise and propose solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Adherence to Regulations: Comply with relevant regulations and standards governing packaging materials, labeling requirements, and product safety.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing or related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with packaging equipment and hand tools.
• Attention to detail.

ZMicro is seeking a qualified candidate for this challenging and rewarding Solder Technician who will be responsible for assembling electronic components and circuits by soldering them together according to specific requirements and standards. A Solder Technician plays a vital role in the production of electronic devices and systems, ensuring that soldered connections are reliable, durable, and free from defects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Soldering Electronic Components: Perform soldering tasks to assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) or other substrates, following engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Component Preparation: Prepare components and PCBs for soldering, which may include cleaning, tinning, and applying flux to ensure proper adhesion and solder flow.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect soldered joints and assemblies for defects, such as solder bridges, cold solder joints, and insufficient solder, using magnifying devices and testing equipment.
  Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Repair and Rework: Identify and rectify soldering defects through rework or repair techniques, such as desoldering, re-soldering, and touch-up soldering, to meet quality requirements.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain soldering equipment and tools in good working condition, including soldering irons, solder stations, rework stations, and cleaning stations. Perform routine maintenance and calibration as necessary.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory of soldering materials, including solder wire, flux, solder paste, and cleaning agents. Replenish supplies as needed and keep accurate records of usage.
• Documentation: Complete production documentation, including work logs, inspection reports, and defect tracking records. Maintain accurate records of soldering activities for traceability and quality control purposes.
• Adherence to Safety Procedures: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Handle soldering materials and chemicals safely and dispose of waste according to regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, production supervisors, and other team members to resolve technical issues, optimize soldering processes, and achieve production targets.
• Training and Development: Stay updated on soldering techniques, industry standards, and best practices through training programs, workshops, and self-study. Share knowledge and provide training to junior technicians as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training or solder certification is required.
• Proven experience as a soldering technician or electronics assembler in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in soldering techniques, including through-hole soldering, surface mount soldering, and rework.
• Familiarity with electronic components, PCB assembly processes, and soldering equipment.
• Attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination for precise soldering work.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot soldering defects.

ZMicro is seeking a qualified candidate for this challenging and rewarding Electronic Tester II position that will perform circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assembly tests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Set up standard test apparatus or equipment to conduct functional and operational testing for the evaluation and performance of production devices.
• Operate various diagnostic testing software using PC-aided diagnostic tools on sub-assemblies and completed units to verify product conformance to processing and company specifications.
• Follow defined procedures for testing assigned product assemblies.
• Provide manufacturing support to engineering and manufacturing teams for process research and documentation.
• Recognize and communicates to the supervisor any test difficulties and product faults concisely and promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance and upkeep of department test equipment and fixtures.
• Interpret and evaluate processing data to apply to reports, compiling and auditing process documentation.
• Create reports, charts, and graphs to describe and illustrate faulty characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
• Assist in writing testing or criteria documents and research for creating such documents to describe in layman’s terms functional and technical characteristics of products for testing.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• A+ Certification or 4 years of Computer Systems Testing and or Functional Testing of computers and related products preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid and functional understanding of desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, anstorage devices.
• Good understanding of Operating Systems including Windows and Linux.
• Strong English Communications skills are a must.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are a must.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Proficient written, oral, and computer skills – PC.

Salary Range: $51,000-$55,000 annually

• Work within company guidelines and policies to ensure warehouse functions are consistent with procedures defined for this level after being trained.
  • Weighs or counts items for receiving and distribution to multiple manufacturing plants in San Diego.
  • Fills requisitions and work orders or issues material for distribution to assembly lines using manual and computerized programs.
  • Packs finished goods and materials for shipment to customer locations using various freight carrier methods and systems
  • Receives material components and assemblies from suppliers to support manufacturing, engineering, and customer service operations.
  • Performs other related duties as needed or assigned.
  • Drives company vehicles as needed or picks up company goods
  • Knowledge of UPS, FED EX applications

Requirements:

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
